Polish Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Duszczyk called on Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Interior Minister Naqvi welcomed Polish Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Duszczyk on his arrival. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Pakistan's Ambassador to Poland Muhammad Sami were also present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and matters of mutual interest. Both sides agreed to increase cooperation in various areas including illegal immigration, border security and mutual legal assistance.
It was agreed to increase government-level contacts to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
Naqvi said illegal immigration was also a very sensitive issue for Pakistan. He said a full-scale crackdown was being carried out against the mafia involved in illegal immigration.
Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan wanted to strengthen the Coast Guard to secure the maritime border. Polish Deputy Interior Minister said “we have to stay one step ahead to stop human trafficking.”
