Supreme Court judges Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Shahid Waheed have written their additional notes in Additional Registrar Nazar Abbas Contempt of Court Case.
The additional note said it was unnecessary to prosecute the case after the contempt notice is returned. The order of the three-member bench regarding contempt of court has become ineffective. The note said no further explanation needed after proceedings against Nazar Abbas is halted. The verdict also includes an additional note from Justice Salahuddin Panhore. The verdict said judge cannot be appointed as new judge after transfer. Islamabad High Court Bar withdraws petition against transfers. High Court Bar admits it was not a violation of public interest.
The transfer notification did not clarify whether the transfer was temporary or permanent. The matter was sent back for clarification in the notification. The judiciary is consulted on the transfer of judges. The independence of the judiciary is not affected by the transfer.
