Reasons behind the failure of talks between the Azad Jammu & Kashmir government and the Joint Public Action Committee have now come to the fore, 24NewsHD TV reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the Joint Public Action Committee allegedly turned the protest into an anti-state agenda under the guise of public demands.
Sources said the Azad Kashmir government accepted most of the committee's demands during the 13-hour long negotiations. Giving details, the sources said the Azad Kashmir government accepted 48 of the 50 demands of the Joint Public Action Committee. However, sources said that some of the committee's demands relating to legislation were meant to spread anarchy and had ulterior motives behind them.
Sources said the committee wanted to create chaos, build pressure on the government and seize state resources. There was a strong possibility that an external agenda was behind the demands of the Joint Public Action Committee, the sources claimed.
The demands of the Joint Public Action Committee reveal an organized conspiracy, sources said. The unconstitutional demands of the Joint Public Action Committee are against the wishes of the Kashmiri people, the sources concluded.
