Balochistan’s first mass transit train, the Jinnah Peoples Train, is ready to serve the public, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Upgradation of the 32-kilometer railway track for the Jinnah Peoples Train has been completed.
The project to upgrade the 32-kilometer track of the Jinnah Peoples Train was completed in just 120 days.
The Jinnah Peoples Train project cost Rs3 billion and includes seven stations along the route.
Seven stations have been established along the Jinnah Peoples Train route, stretching from Kuchlak to Sariab.
Kuchlak, Baleli, Sheikh Manda, GOR, Quetta, Lor Karez, and Sariab Station are part of the route.
The Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced that the Jinnah Peoples Train project will soon be opened to the public.
He said the Jinnah Peoples Train will provide a safe, comfortable, and affordable travel option for the residents of Quetta and its surrounding areas.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the Jinnah Peoples Train service will facilitate the daily commutes of students, employees, businesspeople, and the general public.
The Jinnah Peoples Train represents a significant step towards providing modern and dignified travel facilities to the public, Balochistan CM said.
He said public amenity projects are being completed on schedule, and the benefits are already reaching the people.
Modern travel facilities will save citizens time and reduce travel expenses, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said.
He said the Jinnah Peoples Train will bring about a marked improvement in travel facilities for the people of Quetta and its vicinity.
