FMs commend Pakistan’s constructive role for peace

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday met with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, including preparations for the forthcoming 3rd Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission, and exchanged views on regional and international developments.

Foreign Minister Al Zayani appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination at bilateral and multilateral fora.

Meeting with FM Balakrishnan

Ishaq Dar on Friday also met with the Foreign Minister of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, on the sidelines of 81st Session of the UNGA in New York, and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation across diverse areas of mutual interest.

They agreed that sustained engagement and high-level exchanges would help deepen bilateral ties and advance mutually beneficial cooperation, a DPM’s Office news release said.

Foreign Minister Balakrishnan appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional challenges. Both Ministers agreed to stay in close contact.

Meeting with FM Greene

Ishaq Dar on Friday met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda, Chet Greene, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two sides held cordial discussions on bilateral relations and expressed a shared desire to further strengthen ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, including in education, diplomatic training, and other areas of mutual interest. They also discussed cooperation at multilateral fora, particularly within the Commonwealth and the United Nations, a DPM’s Office news release said.

The two sides agreed to meet again at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, in November 2026.
