The prices of gold witnessed an increase in the local market on Friday, with the 24-karat per-tola rate rising by Rs4,700 to settle at Rs453,036, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,029 to Rs388,404, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,694 to Rs356,050.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $47 to $4,305 per ounce, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs126 to settle at Rs6,963, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs108 to Rs5,969.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by $1.26 to settle at $64.85 per ounce, the association added.
