Rain was reported in Faisalabad, Chiniot, Layyah, Bhakkar and several other cities across Punjab, while Attock received heavy rain and hail at night, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
--Shower in Faisalabad, Chiniot--
According to the report, in central Punjab, several areas of Faisalabad received heavy rain. Light rain has continued in Chiniot and nearby areas since morning, making the weather pleasant.
--Rain in southern Punjab--
In southern Punjab, rain accompanied by strong winds has continued in Layyah, Bhakkar, Karor Lal Esan and Fatehpur. Rain in Bhakkar city and surrounding areas also brought cooler and more pleasant weather. However, electricity feeders across the city tripped as soon as the rain began.
--Dark clouds over Jhang, Sargodha, Shakwal--
According to the weather report, dark clouds are currently present over several areas of central Punjab, including Jhang, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sargodha and Chakwal.
--Hail in Islamabad--
Rain accompanied by thunderstorms and hail is also expected in some parts of Islamabad today. The temperature in the federal capital was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius in the morning and is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius during the day.
--Lahore, KP, GB to enjoy rain today--
The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Lahore today. The city may receive showers in the afternoon, while the minimum temperature is expected to reach 26 degrees Celsius. Winds are forecast to blow at 8 kilometres per hour, with humidity expected to remain at 83 per cent.
Rain has also been forecast in some parts of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
--Hot Karachi--
Hot weather is expected to continue in Karachi, where the temperature is forecast to reach 35 degrees Celsius today. According to the Meteorological Department, south-westerly winds are blowing at 18 kilometres per hour, while humidity stands at 74 per cent. The concentration of airborne particles has been recorded at less than 100 particulate matter units.
--Cold Kot Addu--
In several interior Sindh areas including Kot Addu, the weather also changed suddenly, with cold winds taking over the area.
