Pakistan Television (PTV) batter Muhammad Shahzad has set a new record for the fastest century in Pakistani first-class cricket, completing the milestone in just 49 balls during the third round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
Playing against Kingsmen Academy at Islamabad’s Diamond Cricket Ground on Thursday, Shahzad launched an aggressive attack and raced to his century in only 49 deliveries.

Before Shahzad’s explosive innings, the record belonged to former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who scored a century off 56 balls against Australia in 2014.

Shahzad’s record-breaking innings was packed with boundaries as he smashed 12 fours and eight sixes.
He eventually scored 114 runs off 62 balls, giving PTV a valuable boost with his powerful batting.
