The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has decided to open all its field offices across the province on Sunday for property tax collection as the deadline for the ongoing tax rebate approaches, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to a notification issued on September 25, all field offices will remain open on Sunday, September 27, to facilitate taxpayers in depositing their outstanding property tax dues.
DG Excise Umar Sher Chattha said that the offices will also remain open until 8 pm from September 26 to September 30, the final day of the property tax rebate period,
He said the extended hours were meant to give taxpayers more convenience and help them clear their dues before the deadline.
The DG directed all directors across Punjab, including Lahore, to ensure implementation of the orders at all field offices.
