Mitti De Baway stars Mubashir Mehmood and Wahaj Ali have shared a playful Instagram exchange after Mubashir posted a cryptic Punjabi message featuring the phrase “Sheran Di Maut.”
Mubashir, who plays Joji in the Green Entertainment drama, posted a carousel of pics on Instagram with the caption, “Sheran di maut utte rona nahi shobhda. Koe na royeee,” which roughly translates to, “Weeping over the death of lions does not suit anyone. No one should cry.”
The caption came as viewers continued discussing the dramatic events in the opening episode of Mitti De Baway. The drama takes a dark turn early on before moving deeper into the story of Baala and Billo and their complicated past.
Mubashir’s post caught the attention of Wahaj Ali, who plays Baala in the drama. Commenting on the pictures, Wahaj addressed his co-star by his character’s name and wrote, “Jojiiiiiii ..... Chal rehn de.”
Mubashir replied in the same playful Punjabi tone, writing, “@wahaj.official paayiin aaannn deoooo.” Their exchange gave fans a lighter moment away from the intense storyline of the drama.
The interaction also highlighted the chemistry between Baala and Joji in Mitti De Baway. The two characters share a brotherly relationship, while Wahaj and Mubashir have already drawn attention for their Punjabi dialogue delivery and comic timing.
The co-stars previously appeared together in a humorous shop scene in which Baala gets involved in a dispute and Joji finds himself on the receiving end of his brother’s anger. The scene became one of the lighter moments from the drama’s opening episode.
Mitti De Baway premiered on September 23 and stars Wahaj Ali as Iqbal Channan, known as Baala, Mahira Khan as Bilqils Bano, and Mubashir Mehmood as Joji. The drama is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain.
As the story continues to unfold, the Instagram exchange between Wahaj and Mubashir has given viewers another glimpse of the playful equation between the actors behind their intense on-screen characters.
