There are reports that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to have former prime minister Nawaz Sharif declared a proclaimed offender in a land scam involving Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, owner of the Jang and Geo Media Group.
According to the sources, the NAB has issued warrants for the arrest of Nawaz Sharif in this land case and now the corruption watchdog would move the accountability court to have the PML-N patron declared a proclaimed offender. The NAB has taken the plea that Nawaz Sharif has not appeared before it despite repeated notices or answered the questions sent to him.
