Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar Saturday held a telephonic call with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov and briefed him on recent developments in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
“While rejecting India’s baseless allegations, DPM/FM cautioned against India’s false propaganda against Pakistan and thanked Azerbaijan for its consistent support to Pakistan’s stance on the issue of disputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir,” Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release. Both leaders also discussed ongoing Pakistan-Azerbaijan bilateral cooperation particularly in trade and investment sectors.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong called on Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday and exchanged views on the evolving regional situation. They reaffirmed the all-weather strategic partnership between the two countries and agreed to maintain close communication and coordination.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Friday held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The DPM briefed him on recent developments in Pakistan-India relations and rejected India’s baseless allegations. He cautioned against any further escalatory move by India and appreciated the efforts of Iran to diffuse the situation in the region.
DPM Ishaq Dar also wished all the success for the Iran-US dialogue to be held in Muscat on Saturday.
