Pakistan Railways in collaboration with Punjab government will upgrade all train stations from Lahore to Rawalpindi as per international standards. The decision was taken at a meeting of Pakistan Railways in Rawalpindi today, with Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi in the chair. Punjab senior minister Maryam Aurangzeb represented Punjab government in the meeting.
The meeting discussed upgrading Lahore-Islamabad high speed train service and six train routes in Punjab. The meeting was briefed in detail about reducing the travel time of Lahore-Islamabad train from four to less than three hours. As per the plan, the Kalula-Pandora section will be restructured and the track will be dualized which will increase the capacity of the track to 120 trains in each direction.
The meeting also decided to take other necessary measures like reconstruction of all bridges and remodelling of station yards.
Meanwhile, talking to media, Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi lauded traders for shutter down to support Palestinians. He said the world’s firsts terrorists is Israel. Abbasi said in India, Modi Government has butchered one lakh Kashmiris. Abbasi claimed that Modi was involved in the massacre of Christians and Sikhs in Kashmir, Bihar and Gujarat.
He claimed India was involved in the killing of Sikhs in Canada, terrorism in Balochistan, Pakistan.
