Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday announced that 6th ECO Tourism Ministerial Conference declared Lahore as “Tourism Capital 2027”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In her message of felicitation on social media website X” Punjab Chief Minister expressed her gratitude for declaring Lahore as Tourism Capital 2027.
She said that Lahoris are ready to welcome tourists all over the world with their traditional cultural and heritage.
Maryam Nawaz said that Lahore is becoming a historical place worldwide. She thanked the participants of ECO Tourism Summit for declaring Lahore as Tourism Capital 2027.
She vowed that with the collaboration of ECO beauty of Pakistan, Punjab and Lahore will make headlines globally.
Lahore’s nomination has been supported by a sustained campaign over the past four months by Punjab’s Department of Tourism, highlighting the city’s rich cultural, historical, and architectural heritage. As a result, Lahore has been shortlisted for the 2027 title.
