Emphasizing that Pakistan had nothing to do with the Pahalgam attack, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Saturday that the allegation levelled by India against Pakistan without investigation clearly showed India was behind the attack, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference, she said India had the habit of blaming Pakistan for whatever bad happened to them. “This time, they sacrificed tourists to point fingers at us. The fact that an FIR was registered within 10 minutes of the incident was enough to prove there was something ‘fishy’.”

Azma further said that an attempt was made to damage the businesses of Kashmiris, who were mostly associated with tourism.

The minister said that when the Pahalgam incident took place, Pakistan immediately condemned it. “But India has so far uttered not a word on the Jaffar Express hijacking,” she lamented.

Apart from that, she went on to say, Pakistan did not issue an ‘irresponsible’ statement against India in the aftermath of the Jaffar Express tragedy.

Azma said that when it came to the country’s defence, everybody in Pakistan was on the same page.
