On the instructions of the Prime Minister, a high-level disciplinary committee consisting of seven members, headed by the Secretary Establishment Division, has been formed in the case of over-invoicing of solar panels worth Rs120 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Action has been decided against the responsible officers based on the inquiry committee report.
Disciplinary committee will determine negligence and facilitation of officers and action against officials of concerned departments will be monitored.
A progress report will be submitted to the Prime Minister every two weeks.
According to documents, another committee headed by DG Customs Rabab Sikandar has also been formed to monitor the investigation and prosecution.
Special attention will be paid to money laundering cases related to over-invoicing.
It has been directed to ensure legal action against the accused without delay.
The Law Ministry has also been directed to nominate two prosecutors for Karachi and Islamabad.
