Islamabad United defeat Multan Sultans in PSL double-header

Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans, achieving the target of 193 runs for the loss of six wickets in the PSL double-header at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Sunday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

Batting first, the Sultans posted 192 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs, anchored by a steady batting display at the crease.

Captain Shan Masood top-scored with 44 runs, while Steve Smith and Sahibzada Farhan contributed 30 runs each to stabilise the innings.

Waseem Junior added 26 runs, and Arafat Minhas played a useful knock of 31 to push the total close to the 200-run mark.

For Islamabad United, Imad Wasim, Salman Mirza, and Faheem Ashraf picked up one wicket each.

Islamabad United will now require 193 runs to win the match and continue their push in the tournament.

Earlier, Islamabad United opted to bowl first against Multan Sultans.
