The countrywide protests against the inflated electricity bills have also made the officials of power supply companies insecure, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

A letter written to the administration by Superintendent Engineer Rawalpindi Shahzad Ahmad Jalil revealed the facts.

In the letter, he asked the administration to enhance the security of the Wapda offices located in Garrison City as scores of furious power consumers visited the office with inflated bills complaints.

It is feared that they could be violent and resorted to attack them besides causing damage to the public property, the letter read, adding that

WAPDA officials are insecure about this dangerous behavior of citizens, therefore, police should be deployed to protect WAPDA staff and property, it added.
