Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar has arrested 257 suspects illegally travelling to Iran by sea during December 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to FIA spokesperson, the arrested suspects belonged to different districts of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
About 34 foreigners are also among the arrested suspects and 30 out of the 34 foreigners arrested belonged to Afghanistan, two belonged to Bangladesh, while two belonged to Iran.
As many as 142 of the arrested suspects belonged to Punjab, 12 to Sindh and 63 of the arrested suspects belonged to KP.
The accused were arrested from Jiwani.
According to the initial investigation, the accused had illegally travelled from Iran to other countries.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
A crackdown is underway against the accused involved in human trafficking and illegal border crossing.
All resources are being utilized to arrest the accused.
