Artificial intelligence continues to reshape the digital landscape, and Pakistani actress Nimra Khan is the latest celebrity to embrace the growing trend.
The Khoob Seerat star recently shared AI-generated selfies and videos on Instagram, placing herself alongside well-known Hollywood celebrities. In one such AI-created reel, Nimra appeared to be on a “Western” adventure, featuring virtual moments with international stars including Shakira, Lily Collins, Sofia Carson, Anne Hathaway, and Ana de Armas.
The video opens with Nimra posing for a selfie with Shakira, before shifting to a scene with Lily Collins standing in front of Paris’s Eiffel Tower. Other clips show the actress sharing lighthearted moments with additional Hollywood figures, all created using artificial intelligence tools.
This trend, which allows users to generate realistic images and videos with famous personalities, has gained massive popularity on social media. Platforms are currently filled with similar AI-generated content as fans create imagined interactions with their favourite stars.
Earlier this year, a comparable AI-driven trend gained traction within Pakistan’s entertainment industry, with several actors participating in Google’s Gemini Nano Banana challenge. Many celebrities also shared AI-generated visuals as part of the widely popular “hug my younger self” trend.
Actresses Mawra Hocane and Sajal Aly, along with actor Usman Mukhtar, were among those who took part. Mawra and Usman shared images embracing their childhood selves, while Sajal posted a touching image appearing to hug her late mother.
As AI tools become more accessible, such creative experiments continue to blur the line between reality and digital imagination in the world of entertainment.
