The Pakistan People’s Party will start its long march today to be led by party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The march which starts from Karachi on Feb 27 will culminate at Islamabad on March 8.
Bilawal will stay with the participants throughout the march and he would spend his nights in a container.
The PPP chairman will hold a press conference later today at 3pm to apprise the media in this regard.
Lahore PPP President Aslam Gul has sent a letter to the administration regarding security arrangements for the procession. He requested the administration to allow the party to put banners and party flags on the route of the long march. He demanded an alternate route for traffic at the time when the marchers will enter the city.
The PPP procession will reach Lahore on March 5. The marchers will stay in Bahria Town for the night. Then they would proceed to Islamabad after holding a rally in Nasir Bagh.
