Azma Bokhari counts Punjab govt’s feats in one year

Punjab Minister of Information and Culture Azma Bokhari on Wednesday said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz the province has set new benchmarks of progress in different sectors during the PML-N government’s first year in office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued in Lahore, Azma Bokhari said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced new trends after turning politics into public welfare.

The minister said that on the one hand Maryam Nawaz is making records through her public welfare projects while on the other hand her opponents are busy in spreading baseless allegations against the Punjab government.

Azma Bokhari said that during Pakistan’s 76-year-old history no provincial government introduced public welfare projects which Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz completed in one year time.

She said that our youth are in need of e-bikes, scholarships, laptops and loan under easy installments instead of sticks equipped with nails, petrol bombs and string shots.

Azma Bokhari said that people of Pakistan rejected politics of hatred, violence and anarchy. Maryam Nawaz showed them a ray of hope for their bright future.

She said that a mother always desire to see her children progressing instead in jails.
