Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Wednesday held a productive meeting with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiar Saidov, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and regional cooperation, according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan.

Dar, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized Pakistan’s strong historical and brotherly ties with Uzbekistan, built on shared heritage and mutual respect.

The two leaders explored ways to further strengthen diplomatic, trade, and economic relations.

Discussions centred on deepening collaboration in key areas, including trade, investment, regional connectivity, and economic development. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors to promote common development and prosperity.

The meeting underscores Pakistan and Uzbekistan's dedication to fostering stronger regional partnerships and enhancing economic opportunities for mutual benefit.
