The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday set a hearing date for the miscellaneous applications seeking early hearing on the suspension of sentences for former prime minister Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi in the£190 million case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court has directed the IHC registrar to set the applications for hearing on March 11.
Earlier this month, two separate bail applications were filed in the IHC on behalf of the PTI founder through Barrister Salman Safdar and Advocate Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
The petitions stated that Imran is suffering from a serious disease in his right eye. Dr Muhammad Arif of PIMS diagnosed that due to a blood clot, the right eye has been severely affected and vision has reduced to only 15 percent. The disease cannot be properly treated inside jail.
The petition further stated that the PTI founder is 73 years old and should be released on bail.
