PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, who was arrested from Lahore on Wednesday, recorded his initial statement to the Islamabad police on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Kohsar Police Station’s DSP and SHO quizzed Fawad Chaudhry about his statement, to which replied “I said what I felt. Nobody asked me to do so.”
To another question, the PTI leader said his mobile phone was with him when he was arrested. “His laptop would be at home,” he added.
When asked whether it’s appropriate to target state institutions, Fawad said “Neither I made any attempt to spread anarchy nor my words were rebellious.”
Sources said despite recording the statement the police did not make it a part of the case yet.
A police spokesman said he could not give his reaction as the case was under investigation.
