Unknown persons on Wednesday opened fire on the car of PTI MPA Aslam Abro’s sibling in the Defence Phase 7 area of Karachi, killing three people including the lawmaker’s brother, nephew and another relative, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to SSP South, unknown assailants riding a motorcycle came across the car of MPA Abro’s brother Akram Abro near Ayesha Mosque in the Defence area and sprayed it with bullets. As a result, Akram Abro and PMA’s nephew Shehryar Alam died while two other car riders who were also the relatives of the lawmaker sustained injuries.
Later, one of the injured relatives identified as Irshad Pahnwar later succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.
The bullets were fired from three sides. There were 30 bullet holes in the car. The assailants used Nine MM and 222 rifles during the attack.
The 68-year-old Akram Abro was a lawyer and a member of the Sindh Bar Council. He hailed from District Jacobabad in Sindh.
