The widow of Dr Aamir Liaquat has called for prayers as a court reserved its verdict on digital media personality Yasir Shami’s appeal in the Aamir Liaquat case.

According to her, arguments against Yasir Shami’s appeal were presented before the court, which has now reserved its judgment.

The verdict is scheduled to be announced on July 31, 2025.

She urged followers and well-wishers to pray for justice and for the formal trial proceedings to begin without further delay.

“Let us pray and hope that the trial begins soon and that the late Aamir Liaquat Hussain receives the justice he deserves. Ameen,” she wrote.

The case has drawn widespread public attention ever since Dr Aamir Liaquat’s tragic and sudden death in June 2022.

Allegations and controversies surrounding the noted televangelist’s final days have led to continued demands for a thorough investigation and accountability.

The late televangelist’s family has accused Yasir Shami of contributing to defamation and emotional distress that allegedly affected Dr Aamir Liaquat’s well-being. Shami, however, has denied all allegations.

Public interest remains high, with supporters of Dr Aamir Liaquat closely monitoring court developments and calling for justice to be delivered without delay.

Dr Aamir Liaquat was a polarising yet prominent figure in the country’s media and political spheres.

Known for his dramatic on-screen style, he held several influential positions, including that of a parliamentarian.

His death sparked an outpouring of grief and renewed conversations about media ethics, cyberbullying, and social accountability.
