First dengue death confirmed in Karachi this year as a 48-year-old woman from District East has died of the disease, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The deceased woman was a resident of District East of Karachi and was admitted to a private hospital on July 23.
According to the Health Department, the woman also was patient of diabetes and urinary tract infection.
This year, 345 people in Sindh and 298 in Karachi have been infected with dengue.
