The letter has emerged at a time when FIFA is conducting a formal investigation into the altercation between Argentine and Spanish players following the World Cup final, as well as other incidents that occurred after the match.
Referring to the final played on July 19, 2026, Infantino congratulated the Argentine Football Association on securing the World Cup silver medal after a thrilling contest against Spain.
He praised Argentina's impressive campaign, saying the team's performances made the tournament even more memorable.
The FIFA president also applauded the dedication, professionalism and commitment shown by Argentina's players and head coach throughout the competition, describing their efforts as the foundation of the team's success.
The World Cup final ended in a victory for Spain after extra time, but tensions flared after the final whistle.
During the trophy presentation ceremony, several Argentine players turned their backs while standing on the podium, and a physical confrontation later broke out between players from both teams.
FIFA is currently investigating those incidents.
