Renowned singer Hadiqa Kiani has expanded her collection of folk and traditional music with the release of "O Bya," a heartfelt tribute to the culture, heritage and people of Balochistan.
The song is based on ancient Balochi poetry which pays homage to the province's oldest languages and musical traditions while honoring the legendary rendition by Mureed Buledi.
Hadiqa aims to introduce the timeless folk classic to a younger generation while preserving its original essence.
Featuring a rich blend of traditional and contemporary instruments, including the duduk, sarangi, dholak, sarod, baghlama, harmonium and guitars O Bya showcases the depth of Balochistan's musical heritage. Its music video further highlights the province's breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture and resilient people with visuals captured in collaboration with Travel Beautiful Pakistan.
