At least 16 Punjab University employees were injured after a university transport wing bus skidded off a slippery road and plunged into a ravine near Balakot while returning from a private tour to the scenic Naran and Kaghan valleys.

According to a Punjab University spokesperson, the bus was carrying 19 university employees when the accident occurred.

The driver reportedly swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle, causing the bus to lose control on the wet road before falling into the ravine.

Despite the severity of the crash, no fatalities were reported, with university officials describing the outcome as miraculous.

Rescue teams shifted the injured employees to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Mansehra, where they received medical treatment.

Hospital authorities later confirmed that all 16 injured passengers had been discharged, as none had sustained life-threatening injuries.

Punjab University officials expressed relief that the accident did not claim any lives and thanked the rescue personnel and medical staff for their prompt response.
