Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited different rain-affected areas of Lahore to review drainage measures on Thursday, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
The Punjab Chief Minister inspected different blocks of the Gulberg scheme and reviewed progress on Sustainable Development being installed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
She directed the removal of all illegal encroachments and unnecessary greenbelts from different domestic and commercial areas.
The Chief Minister also visited Fashion Avenue in Gulberg, Zahoor Elahi Road, College Road, Sir Syed Road, and examined the beautification of commercial corridors.
During a briefing session, the Chief Minister was informed that all walkways and parking, rainwater well, internet, and cables will be laid underground.
Chief Minister Punjab has issued special instructions to WASA Lahore to ensure all underpasses and main roads remain clear of water. MD WASA Lahore has directed staff to keep all disposal stations operational and to use generators in areas where electricity supply has been interrupted.
