Taking notice of a story of a sexual assault on a transgender in Peshawar, the Federal Ministry of Human Rights on Friday ordered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to investigate the incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The TV channel first broke the story that some unidentified men stripped the transgender on gunpoint and also beat him.
The ministry said the alleged incident took place either in Peshawar or its suburbs.
It also sought assistance from other departments in the investigations.
Ministry’s Parliamentary Secretary Lal Chand Malhi has said the incident is being investigated.
