After Punjab, the federal government too has fixed the wheat price at Rs2,200 per maund thus making the price uniform in all four provinces, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Punjab Food Secretary Ali Sarfraz Hussain informed on Saturday that following the action taken by Punjab government, the federal government too fixed the wheat price at Rs2,200 per maund.
According to the secretary, the wheat price now would be the same all across the four provinces, adding that this step was taken in order to stop smuggling of the staple food commodity.
