K-pop sensation BTS has reportedly received an apology from Seth Herzog, co-host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, following backlash over a controversial joke during their recent appearance.
The remark, perceived by some as racially insensitive, sparked outrage among fans worldwide.
During their return to the iconic late-night show, BTS comprising RM, Suga, Jimin, J-Hope, V, Jungkook, and Jin was reportedly targeted by a comment referencing North Korea.
A source close to TMZ confirmed that Herzog personally reached out to the seven members to apologize, though neither Herzog nor Fallon has made a public statement.
Meanwhile, BTS has been celebrating their highly anticipated comeback with the release of their new album ARIRANG on March 20.
The 14-track album features fan favorites like Body To Body, Hooligan, FYA, Aliens, and SWIM.
Following the release, the group performed live at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul as part of their Netflix concert, marking a triumphant return to the stage.
Expressing gratitude to their fans, RM shared a heartfelt message on WeVerse, thanking ARMY for their unwavering support and patience.
“When we heard your cheers resonating in the square, we were overwhelmed: ‘Ah, we are finally back,’” he said.
RM emphasized that ARMY remains BTS’s greatest pride and promised the group would continue to produce better music while deepening their connection with fans worldwide.
