A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises was held in Islamabad under the chair of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
During the meeting Board of Directors approved Thar Coal Railway project. The Committee also approved the dissolution of Capital Pakistan Limited. During the meeting, the matters related to gas companies Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company postponed.
Pakistan LNG Limited board reconstitution was also approved. However, the issue of Pakistan Petroleum Limited directors was referred to cabinet. Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises gave approval of reconstitution of HESCO and SEPCO boards.
Cabinet Committee also gave nod for the appointment of independent director in Trading Corporation of Pakistan. During the meeting, the consent was given for the appointment of Yousaf Khan as trustee of Karachi Port Trust.
