Former PM Imran Khan Wednesday was advised by someone from attending Arshad Sharif’s funeral prayer and going near the dead body, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, he is facing major pressure for attending the funeral by the party.
According to the sources, someone has reportedly advised Imran Khan not to go to Arshad Sharif’s funeral prayer and near the dead body while he is under pressure from the party and the near ones to attend the funeral.
The sources said Imran Khan can arrange a funeral in absentia for offering condolences and showing empathy for the deceased and this option is being considered.
There is chatter in many circles about the former premier’s absence from the funerals and for this, Imran Khan’s near ones have suggested that he should attend Arshad’s funeral.
Imran Khan was not seen at the funeral of his long-term partner Naeem-ul-Haq and was also absent from Dr Abdul Qadir Khan’s funeral.
Sharif played an important and vital role in the promotion and propagation of Khan’s ideology. Khan also gave very stern and harsh statements after Arshad Sharif’s murder.
