Russia has successfully tested its new nuclear cruise missile, BoreiVystok, in a demonstration that underscores the country’s advancing strategic capabilities, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the Russian Chief of General Staff, the missile covered a distance of 14,000 kilometres and remained in the air for 15 hours.
President Vladimir Putin stated that the missile testing phase is complete, and preparations for its deployment are now entering the final stage.
“Work must now begin on the last phase before the missiles are fully deployed,” he added.
Russian sources noted that the BoreiVystok cruise missile has been dubbed Skyfall by NATO, highlighting Western attention to the new weapon.
The successful test marks a significant step in Russia’s strategic weapons program, signaling the nation’s continued focus on extending the reach and endurance of its nuclear arsenal.
