Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Friday delivered a sharp response to an Indian journalist during a press interaction at the United Nations, accusing India of sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan.
Rejecting allegations leveled by Indian media, the Prime Minister said Pakistan was actively thwarting cross-border terrorism originating from India and was combating it “vigorously on every front.”
Shehbaz’s blunt remarks were seen as a direct rebuttal to what he described as “baseless propaganda” by sections of the Indian press, often referred to in Pakistan as well as by Indiana opposition political parties as “Godi Media.”
