A fire broke out in the Eye Ward of Jinnah Hospital in Lahore on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel
The fire erupted in Room No. 30 of the Eye Ward in Jinnah Hospital. During the initial investigation, it was revealed that the fire erupted after a spark in the ceiling fan’s switch.

On September 25, 2026, a fire broke out at the doctors’ hostel of Children Hospital in Lahore, with flames reported on the fifth floor.
Smoke spread through a room after the fire broke out. The hospital administration called Rescue 1122 to deal with the incident.
The cause of the fire is being determined, hospital officials said. Children Hospital Managing Director Dr Tipu Sultan said the fire started in the power plug of an air-conditioner.
Dr Sultan said that the fire has been brought under complete control, adding that no damage was reported in the incident.
Staff put out fire in three to five minutes; no casualties or injuries reported
According to the hospital spokesperson, the fire started in an old air conditioner installed in the room.
The fire also spread to the curtains beneath the air conditioner, the spokesperson said.
Staff acted quickly and brought the fire under control within about three to five minutes. The assistance of Rescue 1122 was not required.
