Fifteen years after its first episode, the iconic Pakistani drama Humsafar continues to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences, as Mahira Khan marked the milestone through an emotional tribute to the drama and its fans.
Taking to social media, Mahira recalled her journey from Khirad to her latest character Bilo, describing the past 15 years as a journey of “loving and twirling” in the world of characters and storytelling.
The actress also highlighted the special coincidence that Mitti De Baway aired on the same day as Humsafar did 15 years ago.
She thanked her fans, whom she lovingly called her “Humsafars”, for remaining her constant support throughout her career.
Humsafar, based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel and starring Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, became one of the biggest Pakistani dramas of its time.
The emotional story of Khirad and Ashar connected strongly with viewers and helped turn both actors into household names as well.
