The Lahore Marathon will be held tomorrow in Lahore in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Allied Bank, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
The event will feature a 42-kilometre marathon, a 21-kilometre half marathon and a 10-kilometre road race.
All three races will start and finish at Liberty Chowk.
A total of Rs5.3 million in prize money will be distributed among the winners and top finishers in the three races.
The 42-kilometre marathon will pass through around 30 locations, including Main Market, Jail Road, Canal Road, Bagh-e-Jinnah, the Lahore High Court, the Punjab Assembly, and Shalimar Flyover before finishing at Liberty Chowk.
The winner of the full marathon will receive Rs1 million, while the runner-up will get Rs850,000 and the third-place finisher Rs700,000.
The 21-kilometre half marathon will pass through 18 locations, including Hafeez Centre, Zahoor Elahi Road, Gloria Mall, Canal Road, Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Shadman Underpass, Qurtaba Chowk, Tollinton Market, Shama and Muslim Town Mor before finishing at Liberty Chowk.
The half-marathon winner will receive Rs650,000, while the runner-up and third-place finisher will get Rs500,000 and Rs400,000 respectively.
The 10-kilometre road race will pass through Hafeez Centre, Zahoor Elahi Road, KFC, Gloria Mall, Canal Road, FC College, Muslim Town Mor and Qaddafi Stadium before ending at Liberty Chowk.
The winner of the 10-kilometre race will receive Rs350,000, with Rs250,000 for the runner-up and Rs150,000 for third place.
Technical officials from the Athletics Federation of Pakistan will supervise the event.
