Leading Pakistani ulema have strongly condemned an AI-generated video depicting Islamabad’s iconic Faisal Mosque as a target of a drone attack, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The AI-generated video is making rounds on the social media is attributed to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khwarij.
Leading ulema and scholars from various schools of thought including Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman, Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Mufti Abdul Rahim, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Irfan Wasifi, Allama Asif Mir, Maulana Muhammad Hussain Akbar, Mufti Karim Khan, Mufti Ramzan Sialvi, Maulana Zahid Mansoor and Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, have strongly condemned the video, which shows Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque being targeted by a drone attack.
They maintained Faisal Mosque is not merely a building, it is a symbol of the faith, worship, and spiritual devotion of Pakistan's Muslims. The AI video depicting this sacred site as a target of a drone attack is not only an insult to the sanctity of the mosque but also a reflection of the mindset which seeks to cloak fear, chaos, and bloodshed in the name of religion.
They remarked attacking mosques, worshippers, and the innocent is neither jihad nor Islam. “This is open misguidance, chaos, and terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace and human dignity, and the desecration of Islam's sanctities is unacceptable under any circumstances,” they added.
They said the very idea of targeting Faisal Mosque is enough to unmask the true face of this Fitna. Any group that entertains the thought of targeting a mosque has no connection whatsoever with Islam, they said.
They observed that the video is clear evidence of the anti-Islam, anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan mentality of the Fitna al-Khwarij.
The ulema and scholars said that the mere idea of targeting the Faisal Mosque is enough to expose the true face of this group, that intends to target mosques, worshippers, innocent people and national and religious symbols in the name of Islam and jihad.
Fitna al-Khwarij actually has an agenda to defame Islam, kill Muslims and destabilize Pakistan in the name of Islam, they said and added, this AI video reflects their same abominable and criminal mind. The ulema said that scholars of all schools of thought in Pakistan have made it clear before and today and they declare again that the narrative of the Fitna al-Khwarij is false, misleading and completely against Islamic teachings.
The nation was appealed not to be intimidated by the AI propaganda war of the terrorists, refrain from spreading their content and unite with the state, the Pakistani army and law-enforcement agencies to defeat their terrorism, they averred.
The scholars said that every hand raised against the mosques and people of Pakistan will be stopped by the power of law and national unity.
