Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto has shrugged off a question related to his marriage plan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
“If I answer this, you will skip the coverage of my speech in Parliament today,” the 34-year-old foreign minister said in reply to a questioner in the federal capital.
Bilawal became the chairman of the Pakistan People's Party in 2007, following the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto, the first Muslim woman prime minister of an Islamic state. He was 19.
He became a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan in August 2018. On 28 June 2018, PPP, under Bilawal became the first political party to unveil its election manifesto for the 2018 General Elections.
In the Pakistan general elections held in 2018, the Pakistan Peoples Party, under the leadership of Bilawal, contested the elections and emerged as the largest party in Sindh and the third largest party in Pakistan.
In March 2019, Bilawal was elected unopposed as the chairperson of the National Assembly Standing Committee for Human Rights. On 27 April 2022, he took oath as Foreign Minister.
