The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully foiled a major smuggling attempt in Gwadar, recovering a whopping 720 kilograms of high-grade hashish intended for shipment to Tanzania and Yemen.
Acting swiftly on intelligence information, the ANF team intercepted a suspicious Hino truck and Prado vehicle near Giovanni Cross, Gwadar. Upon an intense search, the team unearthed the massive consignment of hashish, expertly concealed within the floor panels of both vehicles. Two suspects were arrested on the spot.
According to the ANF, the busted network was part of an organized international smuggling operation, meticulously planning the transit of drugs from Panjgur to Gwadar and onward to foreign shores.
This operation is being hailed as a textbook example of effective intelligence work and rapid execution, with authorities confirming that follow-up raids are already underway to dismantle the broader network and apprehend additional accomplices.
A case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act, and investigations are expanding across the region.
The ANF reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, vowing to continue its relentless operations under the national mission: "One Nation, One Destination — A Drug-Free Pakistan."
