Hania Aamir, one of Pakistan’s most prominent film and television stars with over 18.3 million Instagram followers, is reportedly no longer part of the upcoming Indian Punjabi film Sardar Ji 3.
The film, featuring leading roles by Neeru Bajwa and Diljit Dosanjh, recently wrapped up shooting in the United Kingdom. Hania’s involvement had created significant buzz among fans across both India and Pakistan. However, in the wake of the recent Pahalgam incident, the movie’s release has encountered unexpected complications.
According to Indian media outlets, Hania’s scenes are now set to be removed and reshot with another actress—a logistically difficult move given that filming has already concluded. The reports have sparked widespread discussion online and have been picked up by multiple news platforms.
Reaction to the news has been mixed, particularly among Pakistani social media users. Some expressed approval, criticizing Pakistani artists for pursuing work in India amidst ongoing political sensitivities.
"Alas! Her condemnation of the Pahalgam incident didn’t work," one user wrote. Another commented, "What did you gain from those Bollywood-style Instagram reels?" Many noted that her apology and public condemnation of the incident appeared to have little effect, leading to what some described as a significant PR blow for Hania Aamir in India.
Others on social media reflected on the incident as a cautionary tale for Pakistani celebrities, highlighting the fragility of cross-border artistic collaborations, especially during politically tense periods.
As of now, Hania Aamir has not issued a public statement regarding the reports, and the Sardar Ji 3 production team has yet to confirm or deny the developments officially.
