A delegation led by Zack Witkoff, Co-Chairman of World Liberty Financial, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Sunday, reported 24NwsHDTV Channel.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema and relevant senior officers.
The delegation expresses interest in investing in Pakistan to promote cryptocurrency sector. Pakistan has very attractive opportunities for global investors in terms of natural resources, Zak Witkov said.
He said Pakistan is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Zak Witkov said Pakistan has the potential to join the ranks of leading countries not only in this region but also in the entire world.
Zak Witkov said, “We appreciate Pakistan’s key role in establishing peace in the region and globally.” The PM said Pakistan is one of the fastest adopting cryptocurrency economies internationally. Shehbaz Sharif said talented youth of Pakistan can play an important role in promoting cryptocurrency in the country. The PM said, “Work is underway to formulate rules and regulations to promote alternative methods of economic transactions like cryptocurrency in the country.”
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan has attractive investment opportunities in various sectors.
