Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Karachi has foiled an attempt to travel abroad using allegedly fake travel documents at Jinnah International Airport, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to officials, the operation led to the offloading of two passengers identified as Ehsanullah and Anwar Ali, who were attempting to travel to Malaysia on visit visas.
Authorities said suspicious immigration stamps from Malaysia and Oman were found on their passports.
A preliminary examination indicated irregularities in font style and security features of the stamps.
Further verification through the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) reportedly revealed no corresponding travel history for the suspects.
The passengers were subsequently offloaded and handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.
