Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit flood-hit areas of Balochistan and Sindh Saturday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ISPR DG in a statement issued said that the Army Chief will get latest updates on the ground and meet the troops busy in rescue and relief efforts.
General Bajwa had reached Karachi on Friday where he was briefed about flood situation in Sindh and Balochistan and response measures to help flood victims.
Army Flood Relief centre has been established at Headquarters Army Air Defence Command Rawalpindi to oversee, coordinate National Flood Relief efforts across the country in coordination with Military Operations Directorate.

Pakistan Navy
Pakistan Navy spokesperson said that Pak Navy divers’ teams are shifting the trapped people due to floodwaters to the safer places and also medical teams are providing them free medicines.
Navy Relief Camps have been set up on various points in the calamity-hit areas.
Relief and rescue teams of Pakistan Navy are engaged in areas of Sindh including Gharo, Jati, Kandiaro, Sajawal, Chauhar Jamali, Mirpur Khas, Thatta, Badin, Dadu and Qamber, said spokesperson of Pak Navy.
Also, teams are working for the water disposal to bring normalcy in these areas.
Pakistan Navy Commanders Coast Rear Admiral Javed Iqbal reviewed navy personnel relief efforts via land and air visit.
Pakistan Navy showed its resolved to provide all out efforts for the families waiting for the help.
Helpline set up for flood affectees
Pakistan Army Flood Relief help line has been established. Army spokesperson said that Army help desks across Pakistan in various formations can be reached on Universal Access Number (UAN) 1135.
And for KP residents, they can call 1125 to reach Pak Army Flood Relief helpline.

The forward bases are functional at Nagarparker, Badin, Thatha, Sujawal, Sangarh, Jamshoro, Mir Pur Khaas and Dadu districts for providing ration and relief items among flood affectees.
Three additional forward bases, established at Tando Allah Yar and Matiari Mobile medical teams, are providing medical care in far flung areas of the province.
