The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Saturday summoned the inspector generals of police, chief secretaries and provincial election commissioners of Sindh and Balochistan for consultation over the general elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECP summoned the top brass on August 29 to take the matters of poll preparations including security and administrative affairs.
The election commissioners will brief the ECP about the preparations made for the polls in their provinces and the chief secretaries will inform about the appointments and transfers of the officers. The administrative officials are summoned by ECP for consultation over their tasks and to improve them if any loophole is left.
